Christmas time is a time to gather and celebrate the holidays together. We enjoy helping to make our catering extra special for the season. At this Christmas party we started it off with an appetizer of brie cheese with pepper jam with a fruit tray and crackers. For the main meal we severed our spinach salad with apples, feta, and candied pecans, grilled salmon, tri-tip, roasted red potatoes, grilled veggies and ciabatta bread. It was quite a challenge catering in the windy, rainy storm but the NID employees enjoyed their annual chili cook-off accompanied with our barbequed hot dogs with all the fixins, red potatoes, and fresh green salad. Good thing there was a cover for us to serve under. Having a meal together is a great way to build good relationships among employees and a great way to say thank you. Our annual catering for the Nevada County Narrow Gauge Museum Volunteer Appreciation Day last month is always fun for us to cater. Surrounded by trains and items of an era gone by makes for an interesting day. It’s nice to see these hard-working volunteers be rewarded with a great barbeque meal of chicken and beef, sides of potatoes, and salad.
