It was quite a challenge catering in the windy, rainy storm but the NID employees enjoyed their annual chili cook-off accompanied with our barbequed hot dogs with all the fixins, red potatoes, and fresh green salad. Good thing there was a cover for us to serve under. Having a meal together is a great way to build good relationships among employees and a great way to say thank you. Our annual catering for the Nevada County Narrow Gauge Museum Volunteer Appreciation Day last month is always fun for us to cater. Surrounded by trains and items of an era gone by makes for an interesting day. It’s nice to see these hard-working volunteers be rewarded with a great barbeque meal of chicken and beef, sides of potatoes, and salad.
